Penguin Location Services is proud to announce the successful completion of another great seamless indoor outdoor wayfinding solution and theme park wayfinding system. It was implemented at Yas Water World which is a waterpark and one of the premier Abu Dhabi theme parks managed by Farah Experiences LLC, and is located on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi (UAE) and the Middle East region.
Enhancing the visitor’s experience by making navigation seamless is the first step
For the first-time, visitors and theme park guests of Yas Water World are able to navigate between rides and attractions in the mixed indoor outdoor theme park without barriers and navigation challenges, significantly improving the water park visitor experience.
On an area and park footprint of more than 15 hectares of land, with over 40 rides and attractions, water slides, seven dining options and food courts and much more entertainment facilities, the need for theme park wayfinding solution and visitor guidance system arose as the opportunity to lose one’s way and visitor disorientation is easily imagined in such large-scale venues and entertainment complexes, making water park visitor experience optimization crucial.

There is an opportunity and potential for many other potential solutions and advanced features to be implemented at Yas Water World and other Abu Dhabi theme parks. These include location-based promotions and targeted marketing, notifications and push alerts, queue optimization and wait time management, location-based gaming and interactive experiences, family & group finder and companion tracking, data collection and visitor analytics and rich analytics and business intelligence.
